Delayed Post Test
I wrote this post on Friday May 11th. But it shouldn’t show up until noon on Saturday. Let’s see.
Delayed posting
I’m trying a feature I just learned about in WordPress, delayed posting. Yesterday afternoon I made did a test post thaht I post-dated for noon today. It has not yet appeared. (It’s still morning as of this posting). Hopefully this afternoon I’ll see that post magically appear.

Blogging from the backyard
It’s a gorgeous day and thanks to wireless networks I can enjoy it and still have the internet with me.
Today I had movers get all the big stuff from my condo and moved in here. I’ve been living with Brenda since October but I only moved over stuff as I needed it. Starting first with my computers and guitars – oh also some clothes. With the impending rental of my condo, I’m becoming a landlord, I need to really get my stuff out.
Unfortunately, it’s not clear where everything will fit. Right now, my favorite chair went into the TV room and my couch is in the living room and just about everything else is up in an unused bedroom (the yellow room). My couch was supposed to go into the TV room and replace the ratty thing that was in there but, it’s too big. Won’t go through the door. So, Brenda’s couch replaced the ratty couch and my couch replaced her couch.
I’ve got so much stuff. Am I really such a pack rat? Well, I do have 2 terabytes of storage.

Gas Boycott Day: May 15th
Just to let you know, there’s a lot of email chain letter activity about this event by a lot of well meaning people who misunderstand some basic economic principles. The idea is to not buy gas on Wednesday, May 15th causing a great financial blow to the oil industry.
The key thing to realize is that, the email does not suggest driving less on the 15th. It only asks us to refrain from buying gas on the 15th. Since you will eventually fill your tank, all it means is we will pay the oil industry the same amount we were going to pay anyway. We’ll just pay it on a different day.
It’s easy to do – which is why the email is so widely circulated – so if you want to participate it will cause you very little hardship. Just realize that it will cause the oil industry even less hardship. In fact, even if everyone did this, it would cause the oil industry $0.
So, don’t buy gas on 15th if you want. But if your goal is to hurt the oil industry, the only way to do that is to not drive on the 15th.

podPress not necessary?
Apparently, since version 1.5 WordPress supported pod casting natively.
Now trying a pod press file
Does this work?
Update: Yes, it does.
I don’t like that it uses a flash player. I’m generally anti-flash.
